Cyclist
It’s all about you.
Cycling to work. We love it. Since we’d love for you to experience it as well, we intend to inspire, inform, help with tip & tricks. We determine four groups of cyclists and we aim to cater to you all in an fitting way. Based on how many days a week you cycle to work and how many months a year you cycle, you find what kind of cyclist you are.
The largest group of cyclist aren’t actually riding their bicycles (yet!). In you, aspiring cyclist we see great potential of change. For yourselves , for those riding already, for organisations and for cities, even for entire countries.
Aspiring cyclist
Making changes is never easy, especially when it comes to everyday habits. You want to go, but you don’t trust yourself, but your bike’s is a mess, stolen and just not there. But the good thing is, you want to make the change and start cycling to work.
WHERE TO START?
Let’s be honoust for a second and figure out what’s keeping you from start. As you will see in a second there are many reasons why you haven’t started cycling yet. There may well be more, even. In order to p with/ imagine a person who has no idea on how to get started. So, we try and tick every box for you. Suggestions are very welcome.
These reasons also apply to occasional and seasonal cyclist. Try and find ways of turning your reasons into motivation for riding! Good luck!
Take your pick in order to determine your starting position.
Just do it! Obviously it is not our slogan to claim, but it is such a great one.
The thing is, you know it makes complete sense cycling to work.
And you even want to.
Make a start!
Pick the sunniest of days. Use your sharedbike and find out what it is like to be outside travelling to work. Like it, love it. Make it the beginning of a different way of commuting. Not necessarily everyday, but have it grow on way.
Discuss it with friends, colleagues and family. Perhaps they’ll start riding with you, making the experience even more fun.
The ultimate reward. Be aware of this sentence heard at least a hundred times: At the end of the day, once having cycled home for thirty minutes, my working day has vanished into thin air. I am relaxed when I get home and therefore a pleasant partner or dad.”
Occasional
cyclist
You know, you like being outdoors when it is sunny and nice. And in the back of your mind you feel you want to cycle more often. To work, but also to sports, take to kids to school, even go shopping perhaps. Your bicycle is working properly and you know where to go when it breaks.
Your ambition may well be: keep on riding a little longer when autumn comes
Discuss it with friends, colleagues and family. By now you may already be the “expert” they turn when contemplating picking up cycling.
